In response to the current health human resource crisis that is being experienced in Home and Community Care in Ontario, Pallium has stepped up to offer support.
Pallium Canada is working with the Ontario Palliative Care Network and Ontario Health to offer Home and Community Care frontline workers access to essential palliative care educational resources and practice supports to address priority topics identified by frontline staff.
Home and Community Care Support Services (HCCSS) identified a need for quick reference materials in several knowledge areas to support home care nurses and personal support workers in providing a palliative care approach. Pallium Canada is providing its self-learning modules from Learning Essential Approaches to Palliative Care (LEAP™), reference tools such as the Pallium Central app, live webinars from the Palliative Care ECHO Project, and recorded webinars to support the on-demand learning needs of nurses and personal support workers in Ontario.
