Discover key insights into palliative care service availability across Alberta
These sessions will explore the newly released Canadian Atlas of Palliative Care: Alberta Edition.
Led by Pallium Canada and the University of Calgary’s Division of Palliative Medicine, with support from the Division of Palliative Care at McMaster University, the Alberta Edition of the Canadian Atlas of Palliative Care provides the first-ever comprehensive, data-driven overview of palliative care service availability in Alberta. It consolidates provincial and regional data into a single interactive resource, highlighting where access is strong and where additional support is needed across key areas such as policy, services, and education.
Over the course of this session, presenters, Jeffrey Moat and Dr. Leonie Herx will dive into the key findings, highlighting strengths and shared opportunities to improve palliative care access in Alberta.
Whether you’re a health care provider, policymaker, researcher, or anyone interested in advancing palliative care, this session will equip you with the knowledge to navigate and understand the results of this provincial edition of the Canadian Atlas of Palliative Care.
