Effective September 1, 2022, Pallium Canada will assume the role of Secretariat of the Quality End-of-life Care Coalition Canada (QELCCC).
The Quality End-of-life Care Coalition is made up of 35 national organizations dedicated to improving palliative care for all Canadians. The coalition believes that Canadians have the right to high-quality end-of-life care that allows them to die with dignity, free of pain, in the company of those they love, and in a setting of their choice.
Pallium Canada’s Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey B. Moat, says “Pallium Canada is honoured to assume the role of the Secretariat. We believe this collation has the power to transform palliative care in Canada to ensure all Canadians have access to earlier, more effective, and more compassionate palliative care.”
Pallium would like to thank the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA) for their leadership as QELCCC Secretariat over the past 20 years and all the work they have accomplished.
