Who is it for?
LEAP Core Applied is designed for any health care professionals who have completed foundational training in the palliative care approach and who are looking to strengthen their clinical judgment and confidence in applying their palliative care knowledge to better care for patients with life-limiting illnesses.
Prerequisites: Participants must have completed a Learning Essential Approaches to Palliative Care (LEAP) course (or equivalent) prior to registering for LEAP Core Applied.

Delivery mode
LEAP Core Applied will be delivered through a blended, online learning experience (approx. 4 hours):
- Pre-workshop: Complete 5 case-based patient scenarios (approx. 1 hour) in an interactive clinical simulator. Cases unfold across an illness trajectory and reflect common clinical situations in palliative care.
- Online workshop: Participate in a 2-hour facilitated online workshop led by certified LEAP facilitators, where learners discuss cases and explore different approaches to similar clinical situations in practice.
- Post-workshop: Complete 5 additional clinical scenarios (approx. 1 hour), applying learnings from the workshop to new and evolving situations.

Personal care aides refers to personal support workers, health care aides, health care assistants, care aides, etc.
