Paul a fait des contributions importantes \u00e0 Pallium Canada en tant que membre du conseil d\u2019administration de 2010 \u00e0 2019 et a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le d\u00e9terminant dans l\u2019obtention du financement qui a permis \u00e0 Pallium de devenir l\u2019organisation qu\u2019elle est aujourd\u2019hui.<\/p>\n<p>Paul a \u00e9t\u00e9 une figure influente dans la croissance et le succ\u00e8s de Pallium Canada et s\u2019est engag\u00e9 dans l\u2019organisation \u00e0 un moment o\u00f9 son leadership et sa perspicacit\u00e9 \u00e9taient grandement n\u00e9cessaires. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des rencontres avec des ministres et d\u2019autres d\u00e9cideurs, Paul a pu aider \u00e0 obtenir un financement provisoire pour Pallium en 2012, qui a servi \u00e0 poursuivre le d\u00e9veloppement et l\u2019expansion des didacticiels LEAP<sup>MC<\/sup>\u00a0pour les professionnels de la sant\u00e9 partout au Canada.<\/p>\n<p>En 2014, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un financement renouvel\u00e9, Pallium a pu se concentrer \u00e0 nouveau sur la croissance et l\u2019expansion, en rejoignant plus de professionnels de la sant\u00e9 avec un plus grand nombre de produits et d\u2019outils. \u00c0 cette \u00e9poque, Paul a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le d\u00e9terminant dans l\u2019\u00e9laboration du plan d\u2019affaires et d\u2019exploitation de l\u2019organisation. Lorsque Pallium a re\u00e7u un financement de trois ans de Sant\u00e9 Canada en 2017, Paul a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 faire en sorte que l\u2019organisation se concentre sur l\u2019am\u00e9lioration de sa viabilit\u00e9 financi\u00e8re et sur sa transformation en une entreprise sociale afin de maximiser son impact sur les Canadiens, leur famille et le syst\u00e8me de soins de sant\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Le fondateur et directeur scientifique de Pallium, le Dr Jos\u00e9 Pereira, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 : \u00ab\u2009Paul a \u00e9t\u00e9 un v\u00e9ritable champion de l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des soins palliatifs et de fin de vie pour les Canadiens et un membre infatigable et efficace de notre conseil d\u2019administration pendant de nombreuses ann\u00e9es.\u2009\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Paul venait de quitter le conseil d\u2019administration de Pallium Canada en septembre dernier, apr\u00e8s neuf ans de leadership et de conseils. Le pr\u00e9sident du conseil d\u2019administration, G\u00e9rald Savoie, lui a rendu hommage au nom du conseil pour son soutien et sa contribution \u00e0 la cause des soins palliatifs et de fin de vie au Canada lors de l\u2019assembl\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale annuelle de cette ann\u00e9e \u00e0 Ottawa. M. Savoie a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 : \u00ab\u2009Ce fut un grand privil\u00e8ge de si\u00e9ger au conseil d\u2019administration aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Paul. Pendant neuf ans, il a apport\u00e9 son soutien ind\u00e9fectible et son expertise pour faire avancer la vision de l\u2019organisation, \u00e0 savoir que les soins palliatifs sont l\u2019affaire de tous.\u2009\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Paul est un personnage cl\u00e9 de l\u2019histoire de l\u2019organisation de Pallium et sa m\u00e9moire est toujours pr\u00e9sente dans l\u2019engagement de Pallium \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 et l\u2019accessibilit\u00e9 des soins palliatifs au Canada.
