Conversations on Caring

The Patrick Gillin Memorial Gift, administered in partnership with Bruyère Foundation, will make a new program of monthly Conversations on Caring professional development sessions available on a pan-Canadian basis in 2012.

We are accepting suggestions for challenging issues or common concerns you or your colleagues have in community settings about serving the seriously-ill and dying. Community settings include home, hospice, community hospital/ health centre, long-term care, settings of marginalization as well as continuity of caring across settings of care over the course of illness or dying.

Conversations on Caring Classics
Conversations on Caring Classics bring enduring insights and wisdom from some of Canada's most experienced practitioners, thought leaders, and scholars about practical tips and strategies to help you more compassionatively and responsively serve the seriously-ill and dying.

Visit the courselet page for each to access a written transcript as well as Apple iTunes and YouTube access points. The Patrick Gillin Memorial Gift has made these sessions available for no-cost use locally in staff, volunteer, and professional development as well as health science student education under a Creative Commons license.
