Accountability

Evaluation, continuous improvement, critically-reflective practice, and praxis (integrating theory and practice) have been central to the Canadian Pallium Project's ability to assist stakeholders innovate, change, adapt. Accountability also means sharing the rationale, stories and insights about what has been done, why, and the results.

GOVERNMENT, STAKEHOLDERS AND CITIZENS
Principals of the Canadian Pallium Project have testified before House of Commons and Senate committees about serious-illness and dying. They have also reported back on one-time Government of Canada investments which total $4.5 million as of March 31, 2007. With in-kind contributions of seconded, volunteer, and other professional service time and resources of stakeholders, the overall leveraged activity in collaborative initiatives is estimated to be more than $12 million since 2001:
